This provincial park is known for the excellent windsurfing on its lake.There is also a hemlock forest and much wildlife in the park. Open winter and summer; camping. Located 32 km south of Port MacNeill.

Echo Bay Provincial Marine Park

This provincial park, located on Gilford Island, can be accessed by boat or floatplane from Port McNeill, Telegraph Cove or Alert Bay. The park consists of a 70-foot floating dock, campsites, picnic area and walking trail.

Lower Nimpkish Provincial Park

Situated on the Lower Nimpkish River, the park protects bald eagle nesting sites as well as the territory of a threatened seabird species called Marbeled Murrelet. The park provides opportunities to fish for a wide variety of salmon and trout. As the river is often rough, activities such as swimming, canoeing and kayaking are not recommended.
